Retail therapy

Aaaah, how much better do I feel having spent a good couple of hours spending the birthday money sent by the beloved parents! What better antidote to a crap day at work! Long live the Trafford Centre and all who sale in her (or sell in her – ha ha ! Oh dear…).
For those of you who care, this is what I bought (and I rang my mum afterwards to tell her what good taste she has): a handbag from Mango, some sunglasses from Boots, eye make up from MAC, and some Clinique face wash stuff. Oh, and a Father’s Day card (Steve – that’s a hint, buy a card before Sunday!). Oh, and a fluffy football screen cleaner/duster thing as a pressie for H to congratulate him on his new job. “New job?” I hear you cry! “What new job?” Aah, well you’ll have to read his blog for that…I’m such a tease. (His blog is badlydrawntoy.com, the link is at the bottom of my home page).
And so to tomorrow, when England play their second match of their World Cup campaign. On the one hand, I’m very excited as I picked out England in the office sweepstake, so obviously they’re going to win. On the other hand, who am I kidding! Really. England? Win the World Cup?! There’s a pig, flying, overhead…duck! No, pig! OK…I’ll get my coat…
